And yet another ARG (Alternate Reality Game) is on the radar, but no one seems to know what it’s for as of yet. We’ll call it Holomove for now since that’s the site of interest right now, and well everyone else is doing the same.
Jim Merithew, writer for Wired’s The Underwire, received a package that contained a paper crane, a memo from the Department of Energy and an empty Emergen-C packet with a sticker with a multicolored chemical model. Same for someone from the ARG forum Unffiction. Once some clues were put together that took you to the above mentioned site. There you find the blog of one Nate Bozeman, who was recently hired as lead software developer for the company. And then that takes you to all sorts of other on-line clues.
Right now there’s no real clues as to what this particular ARG will be for. Some are speculating it’s for a as yet named Microsoft product since the game has referenced two actual employees who’ve Twittered about the game’s main character (Nate Bozeman) and appear to be involved in the game. Another theory is that it could be for the upcoming new season of The Sarah Connor Chronicles or even for any of the four new Fox Sci-Fi shows (Virtuality, Fringe, Dollhouseand Boldly Going Nowhere).
Best bet is to start out with the first discovered site, Holomove, and then move on to the Unffiction forums for clues you can’t figure out on your own.
Happy hunting down the Rabbit Hole. Damn, that sounded really, really wrong.
