Sony Screen Gems has released Quarantine The Game into the Internets as a promotional for the upcoming movie Quarantine, which is due out this October.
It’s a fun little romp through the apartment complex filled with the infected which you must make your way around to make it to your objective. Objective, shmobjective – this game is about rendering zombie-type freaks into a pile of red goo with whatever you can find.
Fun stuff.
Sony Pictures has unveiled the latest viral marketing sensation to support the upcoming film Quarantine, a remake of the classic Spanish thriller. The first video was released this past March on YouTube by the user EricsVideoBlog. It documents what looks to be a hazmat cleanup outside of an inner-city apartment complex, with a standoff occurring inside of the building simultaneously. The YouTube account is filled with all sorts of theories and at least one lead in the ARG – The Last Palm Tree, the blog of retired police officer Mike Davidson, who has decided to investigate what actually happened in the building. The blog is filled with more videos as well as photos and links to other possible ARG sites.
The move itself is due to hit theaters this October. You can get some more insight and clues on the ARG community board Unfiction.
