Rob Zombie All of you Rob Zombie fans can now get even more obsessive and follow all his news in one centralized place – Rob Zombie World. Yes all you rabid Zombie fans, Rob is giving you a one-stop, all you can eat buffet of Zombie loven’.

Here you will find all the information you can stand about all of his projects be it comics, movies or music. There’s also a merchandise section that right now is empty but knowing how much Mr. Zombie is a promowhore, I’m sure it will be filled to the brim with all things Rob Zombie soon. And just to give you more reasons to stalk Zombie online he’s also got an actual blog (which means he’ll hopefully stop using that MySpace piece of crap to dispense information) and a Flickr account.

Right now there isn’t much on the site but that will probably change soon considering all of the new material he’ll be pumping out in the very near future.

“Carrion Re-Animating” Game Trailer

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

Zombie Cow Studios along with Lemmy & Binky have released a small game named “Herbert West in Carrion Re-Animating”, which was made as part of TIGsource’s Lovecraft competition.

As described by the Zombie Cow gang…

‘Tis the story of one Herbert West, and his macabre, unholy experiments. Deep down, in his dark, dank basement he feverishly works away on re-animating the dead!

His experiments go well until — most inconveniently, it must be said – the friends and family of the deceased begin to come a-knocking at the door, in a desperate search for their missing loved ones.

Clutching the re-animator serum in his trembling hands, poor Herbert rushes to the basement in a vain attempt to convince his visitors that their loved ones are live and well…

To play “Herbert West in Carrion Re-Animating” just download the game.

Zombie Pet Shoppe

These little pets of the dead can be found over at the ever quirky Archie McPhee. Ever loving and ever hungry for your brains, these zombielicious critters would make a fine addition to any family. They may not do a lot of tricks but they will keep unwanted visitors, like those pesky Jehovah Witness, far and away. So please, give these needy pets a home.

Dusty Zombies

Friday, September 5th, 2008

I give you Kansas’ iconic song Dust In The Wind, as sung by zombies. No really, I mean it. Zombies can sing. And if you were the Living Impaired you could sing too if you had someones hand up your bum! Created by Matt Ficner these zombies are for the Creepy Puppet Project, which I think sums up everything you need to know about this project.

To see more of his puppet creations shamble over to his YouTube page.

I’m sure there’s a Jim Henson joke somewhere in all of this.

NotLD: Reanimated

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Fancy yourself an animator? Love George Romero’s Living Dead franchise? Then NotLD: Reanimated is just for you. The premise is easy -

The project is a mass collaborative animation in which artists working in all media are given the chance to re-envision Might of the Living Dead. This can be done in any style, medium or approch. The only restrictions are:
-Must be your own work.
-Must match the original audio.
-Must be in Black and White.

Once they receive all of the submissions they’ll organize the materials and the timeline will be reanimated one scene at a time to create a completely new visual track. In other words they’re going to use various images to create a brand-new visual reimagining of Night of the Living Dead. Pretty swank if you ask me.

There’s more information and submission guidelines on the NOTLD: Reanimated site.

Below is an update of some of the materials received, giving you a better idea of what they are trying to accomplish.

“& Teller”

& Teller is a clever little video made by Ghost Works, LLC for George A Romero’s Diary of the Dead video contest last April. The premise is simple: Teller, of the magic due Penn & Teller, is trying to survive the Zombie Apocalypse all by his lonesome. Will he make it, become slack jaw kibble or slip into zombification? Watch to find out!

Carpenter’s ‘The Thing’ Meets G.I Joe

Friday, August 1st, 2008

This video has been making the rounds, and I can see what. It’s a music video for the song Driving this road until death sets you free, by Zombie Zombie, which uses stop motion animation to recreate John Carpenter’s The Thing… with G.I. Joe action figures.

How frigging sweet is that?
