Last weekend was the 2009 Philly Zombie Prom, of which I help organize and DJ. My partners in crime are legendary DJ Robert Drake (WXPN‘s Land of the Lost and Kids Corner) and bartender extraordinaire Melissa Torre (Tattood Mom and Sugar Mom), and the event takes place at the historical Trocadero Theatre. Along with the bands Live Not on Evil and The Young Werewolves, Henry David ringin in Halloween, and the crowning of the Zombie Prom King and Queen, it’s a pretty big opening to the Halloween season here in Philly. How big you may ask. How about over 900 zombies worth of big? Yeah, pretty sweet. Below are the few shots I was able to take. You can find a bunch more here, here, here, and here.
Advanced tickets for the 2009 Philly Zombie Prom are now available. Buy your tickets now for only $7.00 at Crash Bang Boom (528 South 4th Street), at the door for $10.00 the night of the Prom, or online from the Trocadero Theatre (TicketMaster surcharges not included in price).
The Philly Zombie Prom takes place on Sunday, September 27 at the Trocadero Theatre, and features:

I’ve been so busy with work I haven’t had time to really post. But in the interest of making some “me time”, and feeling pretty damned craptastic due to some sort of brain mashing malaise (read: inner ear infection and allergies), I visited Chris Doyle’s Mini-Mizer site to create little LEGO-esque versions of myself.
Kind of uncanny how it resembles me at my best right now.
My little test seems to have work. The last post made it to my LiveJournal account. But in the interest of getting all of the kinks out of this plugin here’s another zombie related post:
I’m testing out a plugin that’s supposed to repost my ZoMoPro posts to my LiveJournal blog. I think there’s some interactive functions as well, so it isn’t the syndication option that LiveJournal provides. It may work. It may go terribly wrong. Who knows? It’ll be a fun little adventure.
And in the interest in making this post at least not so damned boring here’s a swank video of this past Easter’s Philly Zombie Crawl. It was put together by Philly local filmogapher Bob Sweeney.
So this past weekend I attended the National Haunters Convention, which took place at the Valley Forge Convention Center right outside of Philly. It’s a mix of a Haunted Attraction trade show and Halloween enthusiast show and included a tour of a local haunt named the Bates Motel and Haunted Hayride. There was a lot going on for me including running a class. A fun time was had by all.
And ’cause I’m a glutton for punishment, Sunday was the 4th annual Philly Zombie Crawl on South Street. My guess, and it’s just that, is that we had some 400 zombies wandering around South Street from bar to bar. All in all it was pretty successful. Being that I’m one of the organizer monkeys there was a lot going on for me. A fun time was had by all.
Sooo… Instead of going through all of the details of both events you can peruse all of the photographs I took this past weekend. Think of it as a gruesome picture book instead of me being a lazy bum.

The Zombie Stomper Platform Peep-Toes Heels are the sexy and are zombielicious. These just add more validity that there should be a real-life horror themed stripclub.
Through the years I’ve become a Metalica hater. Between the sell-out attitude, lack of musical integrity and the obvious overzealous greed for more money than anyone can need, I’ve not found a reason to like them in some time. That is until now.
I can man-up when I have to and this is one of those times. Above is one of the more creative music videos I have seen in quite some time – “All Nightmare Long” from their newest release Death Magnetic. The song itself hearkens back to when Metalica wasn’t Selloutica, with heavy string action, bombastic bass drums and lyrics that are dark and brooding. But what really wins me over is the video itself. With heavy inspiration coming from both the Cold War and the Zombie Apocalypse, and clever usage of throw-back filming techniques, “All Nightmare Long” is very effective and entertaining. I really don’t want to spoil the thing so I’ll just leave it at that.
