Gobstopper Trailer from Gobstopper Movie

What if Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was actually a horror film instead of a simple creepy film? It may very well look like the fake trailer above – Gobstopper. Created by Eric Appel for the website Funny or Die this “what if” short is pretty damned humorous, and the best part is he casted Christopher Lloyd is Wonka.

The Whisperer in Darkness Trailer

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

This is the trailer for the upcoming film The Whisperer in Darkness which is from HPLHS Motion Pictures, the same group that brought you the now cult classic silent film adaptation of The Call of Cthulhu (a movie that every Lovecraft fan should see). It looks like they’re keeping the old time feel to this Lovecraft adaptation as well, but in the style of a 1940′s noir film.

Blingin’ The Joint Out

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

I’m working on pulling the Grendel’s Den Design Studio (my design and art site) and DaveGhoul.com (my DJ site) feeds into ZoMoPro so they both post into this blog, which will give you a one-stop place for all things me. I’m also integrating ZoMoPro with my Facebook profile which will enable ZoMoPro posts to show on my Facebook profile Wall, and you should be able to add replies from there and have them show on the original post.

Yes, yes, yes…I’m such an attention-whore. But again, this will make it a singular place to get information on all of my asskickery.

So, in short, if you see some wonky posts that’s why.

In the meantime I give you some crazed dude with an awesome bulldozer of wrecking awesomeness…

The Blowjob [Ironically Kind Of SFW]

It’s honestly not what you think. Not one bit.

Rise and Fall of the Nazi Dinosaurs

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Witness as a crack team of paratroopers investigate an icy base camp with a diabolical secret hidden deep within a sinister laboratory. There lying in wait are the most insidious and evil creations mankind has ever seen! Evil in the form of Nazi Dinosaurs! God save us all.

This snazzy little film was created by artist Alex Poutianinen in just five days and for just 20 bucks. Yeah, it shows but non the less it’s clever and funny.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen Trailer

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

Some of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was filmed here in Philly, so I’m kind of interested in this sequel for that reason more so than the fact that it’ll probably have the highest Michael Bay Blowing Shit Up (TM) ratio than any other movie to date. And as many of you know I just love fiery explosions. The trailer definitely gives you a glimpse into what you can expect from this film – lots of things blowing up, being demolished and us puny humans cowering before our intergalactic robot interlopers.

The film is due to crush your theaters on June 29th.

Facebook Infomercial Parody [Kind of NSFW - Potty Words]

It’s funny ’cause it’s true. Oh so painfully true.

Tales of the Black Freighter Trailer

Monday, February 16th, 2009

The one part omitted from the film adaptation of The Watchmen is the subplot about the fictional comic book called Tales of the Black Freighter, which scenes appear throughout the Watchman issues. The story in the story is an allegory for the overall theme of the plot, but is more than able to stand on its own. So it’s no surprise that Warner Bros. is going to offer it as a stand-alone animated film to be released on DVD on March 24th. And from the looks of this trailer that premiered at MTV.com they are not changing much of the story, which is very good.

Half-Life Fan Film: Escape From City 17

Friday, February 13th, 2009

My fellow Half-Life fans, I present to you something awesome – Escape From City 17, a Half-Life 2 fan film. Directed by the Purchase Brothers, this is just part one of what will hopefully be a long series of shorts based on the hit video game from Valve.

From their YouTube profile:

The Escape From City 17 short film series is an adaptation based on the Half Life computer game saga by Valve Corporation. Originally envisioned as a project to test out numerous post production techniques, as well as a spec commercial, it ballooned into a multi part series. Filmed guerilla style with no money, no time, no crew, no script, the first two episodes were made from beginning to end on a budget of $500.

I really hope they continue with this project since it’s far better than anything Hollywood could produce I’m sure.
