This is indeed a working Nintendo GameBoy costume that an ingenious lad made for Ohayocon 2009. Puts a whole new spin to the phrase “Push my buttons.” Makes one hell of a pickup line at a convention though.

I only call this kid “lazy” ’cause I didn’t think of this first. Really, he’s a frigging genius.

Bob Turek decided to take a female mannequin torso and hack it into a speaker system for his mp3 player. From Bob:
speakers, fiberglas mannequin, 1/8 stereo jack, power/volume knob, hand-built solid-state stereo amplifier
36″ x18″ x12″
2008
As part of my object remix series, this stereo forces the music source into the center of attention and creates a radically new user interface.
Would hate to see where the male model would have the input cable inserted. Cringe.
Oh Onion, how I love your news.
Keith Loutit is a wizard in tilt-shift and time-laps photography. Above is his newest video “Meal Heart” which documents a monster truck event in Australia.
And no, you’re not looking at miniatures. It’s an actual event with real people, cars, trucks and one flaming truckosaurus.

From last night’s video feed on NASA TV, Dr. Don Pettit shows us that Man will always find ways to get their caffeine fix.
Three guys (Chad, Matt and Rob) have produced an actual interactive choose your own adventure series of videos using YouTube and its new feature of placing links and comments over the video.
At the end of each episode (above being episode one) you are given two choices as to what our heroes should do next, taking you to a new video chapter. The choice you make will determine what happens to them, with the ultimate goal of getting the three knuckleheads safely to their office meeting so they don’t get fired. Choose poorly and they’ll get their asses kicked by an assorted list of evildoers.
As if YouTube isn’t already a massive time-sink, this clever use of the video application will more than likely take those minutes left in out lives away.

Above is possibly the most awesome belt buckle ever. Behold the demon skull belt buckle that is also a MP3 player (throws devil-horns hand gesture and starts head banging)! This bad-ass buckle comes with a 1GB media player, LED light module and stereo earphones.
