Testing New Blog-To-Twitter Thingy Part II

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I think I have the plugin, Twitter Blog, all set. It will allow my Twitter followers replies to my tweeted blog posts to be pulled and then posted in the original blog post’s comments. But there is a trick to it, just like anything else. In order for the replies to be pulled from Twitter you must click the reply button on the blog post’s tweet. If you just type in a response or click the reply button on a different Tweet, no comment post for you. So give it a try and let’s see if this baby is set.

Facebook and LiveJournal followers… currently you’re s.o.l. until someone makes a similar plugin.

Twitter followers, if you see this post please reply. I’m testing out a new plugin and need to know if this baby works. Hit me up!

Blingin’ The Joint Out

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

I’m working on pulling the Grendel’s Den Design Studio (my design and art site) and DaveGhoul.com (my DJ site) feeds into ZoMoPro so they both post into this blog, which will give you a one-stop place for all things me. I’m also integrating ZoMoPro with my Facebook profile which will enable ZoMoPro posts to show on my Facebook profile Wall, and you should be able to add replies from there and have them show on the original post.

Yes, yes, yes…I’m such an attention-whore. But again, this will make it a singular place to get information on all of my asskickery.

So, in short, if you see some wonky posts that’s why.

In the meantime I give you some crazed dude with an awesome bulldozer of wrecking awesomeness…

I’m Not Dead Yet

Monday, March 30th, 2009

Where the hell have I been some of you have asked. Well, nowhere really. I’ve been incognito due in most part to work, of which I kind of have to devote my attention to. But all in all things here will be just fine. I’ll be tweaking out the format a little here by making ZoMoPro a little more personal. So not only will there be the typical freaky-deaky posts you’ve come to love but there will be more journal-like posts of my doings and going-ons. It will be a kind of melding of all my online musings as it were. For my Twitter followers though there will be something of a change – I’ll be Tweeting these posts to my personal account soon, which I know almost all of you follow anyway. So it shouldn’t be any big deal.

In any case I’ll be making some slight changes to ZoMoPro, some of which are already done (like the new look, some new links and the addition of my Last.fm feed).

In the meantime enjoy a random image search of “zombie monkey” via deviantART…

Dangerous Mods: RC Helicopter and .45 Pistol

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

I have to say this is possibly the coolest, yet potentially extremely dangerous, mod I have ever seen: a radio controlled helicopter with a functional .45 pistol mounted to the front.

Call In Gay Today!

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

The folks at Day Without A Gay are asking you to call in “gay” from work today. And it’s legit my friends.

I’m not one to post political/social commentary but this is really for a good cause. As part of International Human Rights Day, this movement is in response to the anti-gay ballot initiatives in California, Arizona Florida, and Arkansas that have taken basic civil and human rights away based on the fact that someone wants to be legally shacked up with someone else of the same sex.

So they’re asking that you not to call in sick to work, but to call in “gay” and volunteer.

From the Day Without A Gay site:

Gays, lesbians, and straight allies plan to call in “gay” to volunteer within their local LGBT communities on December 10, 2008 to protest passage of anti-gay constitutional amendments in Arizona, Florida, and California. Wherever possible, gay Americans and allies plan to volunteer for local gay and civil rights organizations across the country through a brand new national database at www.daywithoutagay.wetpaint.com. In addition, a national one day boycott of anti-gay companies will be in effect throughout December 10, 2008.

Every day since Election Day, thousands have protested up and down streets in cities across California, including in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and Sacramento. A national, grassroots coalition of LGBT activists have followed in their footsteps. Now gay citizens and their allies are teaming up to show America and the world the compassion, the love, and the positive spirit of the gay community through service.

On December 10, 2008 the gay community along with forward-thinking companies will take a historic stance against hatred by donating their time to a variety of different causes in order to raise public awareness of the need for LGBT equality in marriage and in other civil rights.

To search or post a volunteer opportunity, visit http://daywithoutagay.org/ and join the more than 100,000 others who have already posted, joined, or visited the site to make a change in their community.

‘Left 4 Dead’ Direct-Feed Gameplay Footage

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

If this doesn’t convince you that you should get the new Valve game Left 4 Dead, the zombie first person shooter, nothing will. OK, maybe one other thing will… the Left 4 Dead demo which is available for download now. A nice way to get you all prepared for the zombie apocalypse which is due to happen November 18th.

Zombie Monkey Projects Part II – Electric Boogaloo

Saturday, February 16th, 2008

Welcome to the new Zombie Monkey Projects; AKA ZMP. If you are a frequent visitor to the original ZMP you’ll notice that nothing here is the same as you remember it other than the site name and me, Dave, the guy behind the curtains. This is obviously a life altering situation for you and I’ll be here to point and laugh at you while you curl up in a corner and wrap your brain around the significance of this. If you are new, well then this isn’t even a big change in your life like former visitors and you will not go sleepless wondering what the hell happened here. Lucky you. Find out what’s going on after the jump. (more…)
