This is indeed a working Nintendo GameBoy costume that an ingenious lad made for Ohayocon 2009. Puts a whole new spin to the phrase “Push my buttons.” Makes one hell of a pickup line at a convention though.

Games Workshop is coming out with their newest video game release Blood Bowl, which if you’re an old school fan of their table-top games you lovingly remember this one. For those not in the know Blood Bowl was a table-top game that combined elements of Warhammer Fantasy Battle with NFL style football, something nerds like myself have a grand fondness for both. Now after many years they are bringing it to the video game world, and hot damned it look amazingly gore filled fun.

Blood Bowl will be available on most platforms from the looks of it and will hit the streets sometime this year.

Sorry for the lack of posts my fellow lovers of freaky-deaky things. I’ve been putting in a lot of hours in work, including a few art shows and conventions coming up. But that’s not what I’m here for. What I’m here for is to remind you that the game F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin will be offered as a downloadable demo tomorrow, January 22nd. And, if you’ve not noticed, that the official site has been given a makeover. From the Warner Bros. Interactive press release:

“Users will find the latest developer news on F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, as well as briefs from the community at large. Players can also investigate Alma’s sordid past in a section called ‘Alma’s Reality,’ and read character dossiers on the F.E.A.R. 2 team page. In addition, fans will discover an inside look at the mysterious Armacham Technology Corporation and the company’s top-secret projects.”

Zombie Cow Studios along with Lemmy & Binky have released a small game named “Herbert West in Carrion Re-Animating”, which was made as part of TIGsource’s Lovecraft competition.

As described by the Zombie Cow gang…

‘Tis the story of one Herbert West, and his macabre, unholy experiments. Deep down, in his dark, dank basement he feverishly works away on re-animating the dead!

His experiments go well until — most inconveniently, it must be said – the friends and family of the deceased begin to come a-knocking at the door, in a desperate search for their missing loved ones.

Clutching the re-animator serum in his trembling hands, poor Herbert rushes to the basement in a vain attempt to convince his visitors that their loved ones are live and well…

Three guys (Chad, Matt and Rob) have produced an actual interactive choose your own adventure series of videos using YouTube and its new feature of placing links and comments over the video.

At the end of each episode (above being episode one) you are given two choices as to what our heroes should do next, taking you to a new video chapter. The choice you make will determine what happens to them, with the ultimate goal of getting the three knuckleheads safely to their office meeting so they don’t get fired. Choose poorly and they’ll get their asses kicked by an assorted list of evildoers.

As if YouTube isn’t already a massive time-sink, this clever use of the video application will more than likely take those minutes left in out lives away.

Either this is a viral video to promote the God of Video Games, AKA: Guitar Hero, or it’s an actual teenager who’s got a lot of time on their hands. In any case what you’ll see in this video is said teen bookn’ down the street on his bike doing a real life version of the game. Pretty swank.

One remote controlled car. Multitudes of beer bottles. One gaming geek. It all adds up to creating one of the most iconic video game themes – Mario Bros.

Today is the grand opening of the highly anticipated MMORP Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. J.J. Abrams loves layered stories and plots, and his new series Fringe is no exception. His viral marketing monkeys have been busy trying to get all of the ARG materials up online, including the newly opened site for fictitious conglomerate Massive Dynamic. The fan site FringeTelevision.com has published some of the new comics, which are prequels to the TV series. There’s a new music video for Fringe, featuring Ror-Shak and their cover of The Cure’s A Forest. And as if that’s not enough, there’s Glowing Monkeys. You’re guess is as good as mine on that one.
