Paramount Pictures released some shots of Ray Park as Snake Eyes from the upcoming film G.I. Joe. For those who don’t remember, or are not geek enough to, Ray Park is Darth Maul.
Director Stephen Sommers (The Mummy and Van Helsing) says about his version of Snake Eyes, “He’s the world’s greatest ninja, but he’s also next-generation. He’s not afraid to use a sword one second, and a split-second later he’s pulling out his Glock”.
The movie is an origins story, explaining such things as why Destro wears a metal mask and why Snake Eyes doesn’t talk.

Monday, March 24th, 2008How to Create an Old School Horror Cover
Saturday, March 22nd, 2008
Remember those old EC Comics you loved as a kid? All of the zombies, werewolves and buxom witches? I know I do. Especially the vivid covers – filled with tantalizing tidbits of what was to come.
Aly Fell over at ImagineFX shows you how to recreate the look and feel of the old pulp horror comics from the ’30s to the ’60s using a little of your drawling skills and PhotoShop, just like the one you see to the left. The online workshop includes instructions and a helpful file full of fonts, textures and more to help you along.
Jonah Hex shoot’n the Big Screen?
Saturday, March 22nd, 2008
One of my all time favorite comic book characters- the cut-faced, anti-hero, cowboy always running into the supernatural – Jonah Hex may be coming to theaters. Shock Till You Drop reports that Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor of the off the wall action flick Crank have finalized their script.
“I think it’s the best script we’ve written” Taylor told Shock Till you Drop and promised that film will be “plenty twisted”.
All I ask is that they seriously consider Lance Henriksen for the roll of the Hex. I think he more than proved that he can be just as haggard and creepy as needed for the roll. If he can portray a cannibalistic cowboy in Dead Man I’m pretty sure he can tackle Hex.
